I just saw the movie and I'm gonna be very honest and to the point.
I'm a huge Street Fighter fan. Chun-Li's my favorite character and was very excited for this movie. I've been all over this movie since casting.
I'm currently on vacation in Colombia and the movie's not playing in any theaters here due to the unbelievably horrible lack of promotion (thanks Fox). So, I downloaded a camcorder-rip of the movie and watched it.
My biggest complaints can be fixed in the editing and special effects processes.
- Kristin Kreuk's voice-overs were heavily unnecessary.
- Chris Klein's acting was amazingly over-the-top. Casting him as "Nash" was a bad idea.
- Maya's character brought absolutely nothing to the movie except wasted time.
Overall, it was a very slow-paced movie with a lot of post-production messups.
This movie can still be really good but it would have to be reedited and re-promoted.
Unfortunately, I've learned that Capcom's ONLY good for video games and not when it comes to movies.
The movie was neither bad nor good. The idea of a "Street Fighter" movie was better than the movie itself.
