I knew I was playing a fair amount of SFIV, but I didn't realize it was enough to desensitize the spring on my PS3 Controller's R2 button. I really don't like how Sony made the L2 & R2 buttons for PS3. They were much better for PS2 because it's much more sturdier and effective. I mean, didn't Sony anticipate the release of fighter games where there would be excessive button mashing? (and I hardly mash R2, just use it a lot) Perhaps they didn't test out their design properly... like the durability of those buttons and springs.
My other control is starting to act up as well, and it's a matter of time before that one breaks too. Right now, I will have to endure random firing of the R2 button (which can cause me to be open for hits) before I can make an effort to buy two new remotes for Street Fighter IV and the release of Super Street Fighter IV.
My uses of the 2 buttons:
L2 = KKK for Ultra
R2 = LK, Ex moves, Throws, Combos
