Jewel Man's theme in Mega Man 9 is definitely one of my favorite songs in the entire franchise. I liked the official arranged version as well; it seemed very fitting for the character. Despite that though, I wanted to make my own cover of the song. And I did! Titled "Shining Jewel Underworld," you can listen to the song in the following video as well as download the free MP3 here! Enjoy!
This is awesome! I never get any limited edition collectables for anything, and this is seriously the only one I have ever gotten! Special thanks to Snow, John, and Unity! You won't be seeing this on eBay!
I forgot I had done this. I should've posted it back when I first joined but never did. Anyway, I replaced Metal Man in Mega Man II for Gameboy with my own character, The Big Weas (pictured below). The level itself was not edited, just Metal Man's image and sprites, and some text.
So I had started making a remix of Tornado Man's theme from Mega Man 9 a few days ago. It's one of my favorite songs in the game, along with Hornet Man and Jewel Man. Unfortunately, I was unable to finish it and cannot finish it now. I was uing FL Studio to do the song, and it doesn't allow you to save your progress in a project. You can export the song, but not save and return to it. Luckily I had exported part of the song, but unfortunately (and rather appropriately) we had a thunderstorm from one of those hurricanes and the power went out a couple times, so my computer shut off and the song was gone. You can listen to what was made of the song in this original blog post I made the day I was working on it. Even the section that I was working on wasn't complete; it just has a stock drum loop in there to keep the beat while I was adding in the other voices. Oh well...
Hey, no one told me you could charge the Magma Bazooka in Mega Man 9!
Nor did they tell me that the Concrete Shot could stop the giant walls
of fire for a period of time! While the former doesn’t really affect
my gameplay experience, knowing that I could stop thoise walls of fire
would’ve made the first stage of Wily’s fortress a lot easier than
trying to break out Rush, haha.
