This is the first week in a while that we haven’t put anything new on the PSN.  For those of you not paying attention, I wanted to briefly recap what Capcom hotness has invaded the PSN over last few weeks.  Announced in the summer, we’ve completed our schedule of making our PSP games downloadable to the PSP and PSP go, and taking our classic PS1 games and making them downloadable to both the PS3 and PSPs.

Which title is missing from the list?  Mega Man Powered Up is too awesome to be taken from a UMD to a digital release, it turns out.  We still have hopes of it sneaking out eventually.

In the tradition of the last two weeks, another PlayStation classic is being released on the PSN for both PlayStation 3s and PSPs.  Resident Evil 3:Nemesis is now available online!  One of the most fondly remembered games of this decade can now be played, in its entirety, on your Sony console of choice.

What is Resident Evil 3: Nemesis?  A videogame, for one.  If you’re unclear on that point, mayhaps this isn’t the place for you.  More deeply, it’s one of the scariest games I’ve ever played.  And you're getting the full game, with hours of story, scary secrets, and the scariest enemy since Cut Man.

Playing as Jill Valentine, you’re trying to escape Raccoon City, a town with an outlandish propensity for zombie infestations.  From that dilemma to a frying pan, you’re immediately wrapped into a worldwide conspiracy.  How will you react?  The fan reaction for this game was huge, and it really was a phenomenon.  Check it out and see what you missed, or relive the good times.

Additionally, if you're an Umbrella Chronicles fan, then this is the game for you: RE3:Nemesis provided some of the source material for the Wii Shooter.  For a final thought: RE3 has you playing as Jill Valentine, a character so awesome, I named my character after her in a turn-based simulation of amateur basketball.
