    Monster Hunter BBQ in LA

Thursday, March 18, 2010, 12:03 PM PST [General]
    Posted By: Snow

We're going to have a Monster Hunter Tri BBQ in LA on Tuesday next week. We have a few spots to invite you to the event, eat some BBQ, play some Monster Hunter Tri, and overall have a good time!

We'll even have custom mugs that look like the ones you can get in the online pub. You can bring a friend, and since there's drinks, you'll have to be over 21. The event is on Tuesday March 23rd and starts at 4:00PM.

If you want to attend and live in the Los Angels area, here's what we need from you:

    - Full name of yourself and a guest
    - Age of you and your guest (you must be 21 or over)

Send it in a private message to THIS GUY with "BBQ" as the subject line. If you're invited, we'll reply with the details, address, and add your names to the list.

Giveaway: The Uberest of Uber-Rare SFIV iPhone Cases

Last week during GDC we had an exclusive Street Fighter event to launch the amazing Street Fighter IV iPhone and show off the full roster of Super Street Fighter IV. While many people were busy getting their first hands-on with oily master Hakan, others got their greasy hands on this limited-edition Street Fighter iPhone case.

These were made specifically for the event. Only 40 exist ... and this is your chance to own one.

Here are the contest rules: In the comments below, tell us which Capcom game you'd like to see on the iPhone. After we hit 500 comments I'll pick one person at random.

    That's it.

    Go! Go! Go!

Capcom Japan Presents: Our Favorite Chill Man Submissions

    Thursday, March 18, 2010, 12:39 PM [General]
    Posted By: jgonzo

Just as they did with Blade Man, the Mega Man 10 team from Capcom Japan has kindly taken some time to highlight a few pieces from our Chill Man submissions that they felt deserved special mention (you can check out Capcom US' honorable mentions here). You can find them after the break!

    Hironobu Takeshita, Producer MM10

I’ve seen a lot of art with the importance of photography and nature and this piece by Linkfreak131 is one of the most that has affected me. I can picture the artist’s kindness from the way he has chosen to represent Chill Man, with him trying to take a picture of something so delicate. The color scheme looks cold, but the image has warmth to it. This makes me very happy.

    Hayato Tsuru, Director MM10

This piece by Absolute 0 looks really, really cold but heartwarming at the same time. It also matches up with Chill Man’s story background in that he's all about appreciating nature. Seeing the ice and water-based bosses from the past Mega Man games, such as Splash Woman, is very entertaining for me.

Wait a second, is that Proto Man as a snow man in the background? ;)The structure of the piece (with the different images) is very interesting and I’d assume that the unfinished 2nd image would be really nice.

    Akiko Ito, Assistant Producer MM10

Are those cherry blossom petals? The darkness of the cave with the cherry blossom petals give this image an ominous tone, but at the same time it’s quite romantic. Whenever I play Chill Man’s stage in Mega Man 10, I keep getting frustrated because he keeps freezing me, but then I think about this piece by Salamandr and it all goes away :)

We’re surrounded by cherry blossom trees here at Capcom Japan and since it is almost cherry blossom season, we look forward to the beautiful sights.
