I Feel They Should Definitely Make A Sequel Cuz It Has Such A Strong Fan Base To It.  Even If Business Is Bad Right Now.  Heck Everythings Bad Right Now For Business

I know people keep bringing up that a sequel probably wouldn't be done for many reasons including the closing of clover, but isn't it possible for capcom to outsource the project to platinum games and make it with the original creators, or is there something preventing that from ever happening?

I know even if it was possible it probably wouldn't happen due to little amount of sales and profit, but if there is nothing else preventing it to happen then you never know!Laughing

I loved Okami (bought it for both PS2 and Wii, but I fear it won't get a sequel. I don't think it lived up to the sales goals Capcom had for it.

Forget the Sequal... Okami is a game that was a closed game. The story closed itself so it would not have a sequal.

Though they could to a PREQUAL.... ^_^

It would be nice if there was both a prequel and a sequel. Astory of Okami before all this happened and one story about what would happen when Okami leaves with Waka.

I honestly can't imagine them doing a great sequel without Platinum Games(Clover).  I'd much rather leave it alone then force a sequel which might end up like DMC2...

Much like the way I'd feel if they were to make another Viewtiful Joe, Platinum Games or nothing.

Without Clover Studios an Okami sequel/prequel may be very different from the first game. Although Clover is gone, there still could be a chance for one to come out.

Of course they could do a sequel.  Didn't any of y'all beat it?

Spoiler (swipe to read): At the end, they said the celestial plain was over run with evil and Ammy's work was just begining.
At any rate, I don't think they need Clover, per se.  Mikami is a member of Platinum (albeit not fulltime), and he's doing work for EA with Suda, in addition to working with Platinum.  I see no reason why Capcom could ask Kamiya and Inaba to come on board in an advising role just to guide the game along.

I firmly believe, and I wish Capcom would take the chance, that if they REALLY went all out with a true AAA
level Okami sequel on the Wii, it would easily break a million this time.  If they aren't going to do that, and instead were to make one on a low budget and send it out to die, like the Wii version, then obviously it would fail again.

But yeah...Capcom should really give Okami a true second chance.  After all, the first Mega Man was a flop, too...

There is still a chance because Capcom says none of their games are dead, just merely on vacation!
