The fact that there's no news for the other game along with Okami just makes it that much worse.

Unfortunately, Unity or Capcom I should say, doesn't have much to share on Okamiden yet but I did find a little passage about the game.

Chibiterasu is in fact the offspring of Amaterasu while the little child, going by the name Kuninushi, is the son of both Susano and Kushi. The plot centers around Sakuya's call for assistance as the demons Amatersu once drove away has returned and threatens the light and life of the world.

Also, the game takes place a few months after Amaterasu's departing and the reason behind Kuninushi's age will be revealed later on the game's release.
