Okamiden is the spiritual successor to Okami for the Nintendo DS. Restore color to a darkened, magical world with the help of partners in this artistic action adventure coming to North America and Europe in 2011. Okami is an action-adventure video game developed by Clover Studio and distributed by Capcom. It was released for the Sony PlayStation 2 video game console in 2006 in Japan and North America, and 2007 in Europe and Australia. I played the original on the PS2, and after completing it and then the song started playing it was magical. It felt very sentimental, it truly felt like the end of a great journey because it's the first time after so many hours of playing you hear actual spoken dialogue that drives it home even more that this journey is over.

I know all ports so far have for some reason removed the song. I completed the PS3 version last year and it definitely isn't the same feeling as the PS2 version after completing it. Has Capcom given us an explanation why they didn't bother to include the song anymore?

Also can someone confirm to me whether the Switch version does or does not include the song?

I'd like to own a copy of this game IN FULL, and right now I'm guarding my PS2 copy with my life and would like to know if I can own a modern copy that is playable on current consoles.

Same as others, that's a no. The japanese version of the PS3 had it, but it's down to licensing issues for the west. Pretty sure the switch doesn't have it, either.
