An Okami Animated Series?

You know, Viewtiful Joe got an animated series for a while. Did that really make the game any different? Not really...

I know that but an Okami animated series doesn't really seem so good and it is better left alone on that part.

will look up to the sky,
And I know they will grow strong..."

an Okami animated series sounds interesting, but it would likely not be in the same art style as the game (in order to make it more watchable, yeah the rice-paper painting thing is easier to ignore if your playing, but can easily become an annoying thing like a snowy screen when just watching, especially if its a series.)

Would also need to be full voice acting, Except Amaterasu, she needs to just keep on barking. Also would the series take place during the game? as in be the game animated, or continue after it? story-wise to keep all the same characters it would need to be the game done animated.

I agree. Although it would be kinda cool for Okami to have an animated story, the artwork just won't be the same. Amaterasu won't be able to talk and the show might get details that aren't even in the game (even though most shows  do that).

If it's just like the style that DMC was made then I hope not. Don't ruin the art, it should be preserved and made that way.

Although the Devil May Cry animated aeries appealed to a few fans, overall it was disliked by many so a few for Okami would present itself as something new and risky.

I agree. An Okami series might be popular at Japan but not at the US. People at the US might not understand the concept.

I think the exact opposite would happen, just like the game.

In America Okami did okay, and then on Wii got a 9 out of 10 and was much loved.

However in Japan Okami bombed, bombed so badly that Capcom closed Clover Studios.

and I can see why, Okami is actually a kind of religious game, a Shintoist religious game using ideas from that religion and the sun-goddess Amaterasu in the form of a wolf.

For Western Audiences, this might be the equivalent if someone released a game with Jesus, Noah, or Moses as a squirrel.

Actually, the DMC series was amazing. I mean, I only have the first level on DVD and the second it was over I freaked out about getting the rest. Now, and Okami animated series would absolutely rape. Do you know how many fans Wolf's Rain had? There are a BUNCH of Wolf fan's(a majority are females) and to see a mythical wolf who can wield weapons, paint the moon and sun into the sky, and bring life to 'life' would be bad-a.
