Finally, HR4!

The only time I try to advance in Gathering Hall quests is with my brother and best friend. Otherwise, I only do quests I've already completed so I don't get too far ahead of them (which for me is really easy to do).  On Saturday, we decided to try for HR4 with Shen Gao Ren.  I told them, let's just do it and get it over with as I have Gao Ren trauma.

Well we managed to kill Gao Ren easily because we were all well prepared.  But unfortunately, it didn't clear the urgent quests for all of us at the same time, so we had to do Gao Ren three times in a row. XD

Yesterday my brother showed me his new Gao Ren armor. LOL  I'm still looking for new armor to upgrade to.  Right now I have Tigrex armor...

As far as elder quests go, I'm kind of stuck on the dual blos urgent quest.  Well I'm not stuck as much as, I tried it once and gave up. ┐(￣ヘ￣)┌

I realized immediately that my armor and sword are not strong enough.  It's time to Upgraaaaadde.

FINALLY!  I did it! I beat schtupid Gao Ren!!  Not only did I finish the quest but I *killed* him in one go! YESH!

I think my problem was that I went with everyone's suggestions to use a hammer against him and well, to be honest, I kinda suck at hammers.  

So instead I rethunk my strategy completely.  I pulled out all the stops and stocked up on large/bounce bombs, fitted my armor with bombardier jewels and switched back to my WoC: long sword, and proceeded to slice him to ribbons and bomb his ass. Not only was I more accurate, but I took much less damage because I was more fleet on my feet.  I also found out from watching Nico Nico Douga that you can trigger the dragon skewer spike wall thing more than once-- You can do it once per 10 minutes.  I wish someone had told me that earlier!

Man I feel so relieved now that he's out of the way.  He was definitely a wall for me and I think he kinda traumatized me for a while.  But now I can finally move on to the upper ranked elders. Yay! Go me!  I'm unstoppable now!
