Some UPDATES both good and bad (possibly with a chance of happy and sad).
GOOD NEWS:

MegaMan Battle Network/Starforce crossover game coming out November 12th in Japan! Obsiouly that's not the same as it coming out here, but it's still pretty close, and probably means we'll be seeing the game in English sometime next Summer.
BAD NEWS:

Seth says MegaMan is the unofficial mascot. I guess that's better than getting no mention at all, but what's so wrong with him being an official mascot? I've always liked video game companies who have so much faith and popularity in their IP that they're not afraid to flaunt it, like Mario with Nintendo and Sonic with Sega. I'm not saying that Capcom should limit showing off its other success franchises; it's not like Nintendo only uses Mario in advertising, they got Pikachu and Link and others too.
I did see the Unity blog entry about The Megas by the way.

Maybe Capcom does not want mascots because they don't mind others using their characters for profit without permission? I'm glad they recognized The Megas, and with this blog post they have their unofficial blessing, but it's more of an afterthought.
Anyways, basically a whole bunch of worrying about nothing. I'm happy MegaMan games are still being made, and dream of the day someone donates millions to Inafune so Legends 3 can be greenlit.

It's not money only. Its all the publisher aka capcom.
