SFIV FIGHT PADS
DO THEY MEASURE UP?
Everybody is talking about the Madcatz Sticks available for the PS3 and 360 - with a mixed bag of complaints about the SE Fight Sticks and overall report of praise for the TE Sticks. But how do the Fight Pads stack up? Are they worth your buck?
I would have to say I had my reservations about them. I wasn't quite sure what to expect so I didn't want to get my hopes too high. After my Valentines day plans, I finally got to tug my pad out of it's packaging and give it a go... and the report?
It's Awesome.
The buttons are responsive - smooth to the touch, and more importantly sharply responsive to the push.
The controller is comfortable - The conroller isn't too big or too small and feels purpose-made for my hands. It reminds me of the feel of the Sega Saturn controller (that was a great fighting controller).
The D-Pad in comparison to the 360 controller is big, in a good way. You have to do your movements slightly (emphasis on slightly) bigger with this D-Pad but i personally feel it's a good thing. Now i feel comfortable making my inputs while with the 360 controller i felt like i was hoping my inputs were correct. A completely refreshing feeling after using the 360's stock controller for so long.
Overall Grade:
Fight Pads = A- (comfortable, stylish, and play with confidence. some would find the large D-Pad a little taxing but it completely has me sold. XB360)

I trust your judgement man...
