Very soon I will be posting more blogs on some new Arcade Projects. The big one for all you SF fans is gonna be a Full Restoration of a Street Fighter II Championship Edition Cab we rescued from some kid's crappy damp garage. This project is for my dedicated SF nut of a friend.

Second, the Restoration of an Original Mortal Kombat which is the perfect cab for a Multi-Purpose JAMMA Machine. The cab will be fully restored and left intact. However it will be a unique setup.

What is JAMMA? Before 1985 most Arcade machine game boards had game/cabinet specific wiring harnesses for that game. Thus there was no standard in the industry. In 1985 JAMMA (Japanese Arcade Machine Manufacturers' Association) was invented and a universal 56-pin Connector that became a standard in the industry. A Standard Jamma Harness

Later on games required more that 3 buttons for P1 and P2. So Jamma+ (Kick) Harnesses were used to provide more buttons.

A Capcom CPS2/3 Kick harness.

Well thats about it for Jamma, if people feel interest I will definitely do a Part 2 to Arcade 101

Due to limited space, I could only fit one cab in my house. The rest are all sitting in storage. I just love the artwork on this cab and its dimensions, CP angle and monitor angle are perfect.

Some pics of the machine itself I restored and completely rewired to original specs.
