    Tournament Edition huzzah!

Saturday, March 7, 2009, 01:32 PM CST [Showing off]

It's been three long, painful months, but the Tournament Edition FightStick I ordered has finally arrived! Check out this monsterous box.

Submitted for size comparison is the Street Fighter IV Collector's Edition box, and um... some Initial D cars.

After reading just about every word written on the internet about the Tournament Edition FightStick, I thought I knew what to expect. Boy, was I wrong.

My mind is absolutely blown. This thing is beautiful, the gameplay is amazing. Best stick ever? No contest.

I honestly don't think I can say anything about it that you haven't already read elsewhere, so I'll just sum up the review with one word. Perfect.

Sweet. I had this one thought in my head that the reviewers were buttering up the TE stick too much. Good to hear from a non-reviewer, mine will be here in 8 days and counting.

I do have one question though: Is this your first arcade stick or have you tried others?

Very nice, looks sweet. On a side not can anyone answer me one quick question ?

I have been playing on a pad like forever. I used to play in the arcade and was never as good there as I am with a pad. My question is, is it worth it to invest on a stick and give it a go at home or should I stick with the pad ?

I was thinking of either getting this or the Hori one.

Grats on your stick by the way, at least from a collectors point of view its a nice piece.

Without using it, I can say it would be much like using a mouse for the first time on a fps game. Yeah, you will probably be better with gamepad at first because you're not used to playing on it. But after playing a couple of days of SF4, i seriously know that if you want your thumb to last you have to get an arcade stick :P

So, i'm buying mine with that on my mind. If I'm better with it after time, which is possible because most pro fighting gamers use arcade sticks, then great if not i'll still be satisfied for the quality and arcade feel at home.
