Capcom at the Jump Festival
Thursday, December 27, 2007, 7:26 PM
[Capcom General]
Manga magnates Shonen Jump held their annual Jump Festival at the Makuhari Messe convention center just outside of Tokyo, on December 22nd and 23rd. As far as I can determine, few, if any, were caught actually jumping at the Jump Fest.
The relatively XBOX360-indifferent Japanese waited over 3 hours to play the 360 version of Devil May Cry 4, and the line to play the PS3 version was nearly 4 (count them! four!) hours long. As you can see pictured above, producer Kobayashi-san also took the stage to demonstrate, playing as both Nero and Dante.
The fest also had the first playable version of the new game Rosario + Vampire, which, in a shocking move, Capcom has decided isn't quite right for release in the Western market. There were also predictably well-attended panels with voice actors and actress from the forthcoming Rosario + Vampire anime series. Attendees were also treated to the first showing of an exclusive trailer for Monster Hunter 2nd G.
