Yes, our shiny new 1942: Joint Strike will be coming to XBox Live and PlayStation Network on July 23rd and 24th!
For shmups (yes, I said shmups) crackheads like myself, getting 1942 is a no-brainer, but for anybody else, the game has some beautiful 2D gameplay from within a fully 3D engine (think Bionic Commando Rearmed, or Street Fighter IV), but it's the online coop which really makes it shine.
Not only is it a good idea to work together when you have a screen filled with enemies on a 16x9 vertical scroller, coop also gives you access to the new "Joint Strike" special attacks where you and your partner team up to bring a special brand of pain to the not-historically-accurate WWII-style enemies.
