Resident Evil: Degeneration is Coming!

Oct 01, 2008 // s-kill

It’s “in the can” as they say in Hollywood (or at least in 1920s Hollywood, which I think I prefer to the real version), and coming to a theater that is probably not very near you!

The debut screening of Resident Evil: Degeneration will be October 10th, at the Tokyo Game Show (that’s in Tokyo).  The North American premiere will be November 13th, at the New York City Horror Film Festival , and in LA on November 18th (hosted by Fangoria!).  The movie comes to DVD, Blu-ray, and PSP (!) on December 30th.

“Produced by renown gaming producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi  (associate producer of Resident Evil: Apocalypse and video game producer of Resident Evil® 4 and Devil May Cry® 4)  and directed by Makoto Kamiya (special effects director of L: Change The World, Godzilla, Mothra and King Ghidorah: Giant Monsters All Out Attack), RESIDENT EVIL: DEGENERATION is a spectacular, CG-animated feature that takes the terrifying zombie action to a whole new level with its ground-breaking visual effects and thrilling new storyline.”

Hit the jump for full press-release, which has some interesting bits from the story and things real humans might actually want to read!

The “Umbrella Incident” that took place in Raccoon City ended with a missile attack ordered by the government intended to wipe out the deadly zombie virus. This serious blow to the business giant resulted in its complete dissolution. 7 years later, at an airport somewhere in the United States, on an ordinary autumn afternoon, a zombie is unleashed. Now, in an airport beginning to fill with the undead, the horrific disaster is about to repeat itself…
