I feel it wouldn't be a true Street Fighter if Sagat wasn't godly. He's just so well designed of a character.



Other than that, I'm sad to see that Abel is so low on the totem pole. But then again, tiers aren't representative of anything true. I see so many C.Vipers in Japanese matches it boggles the mind.

Tiers haven't changed much over the past month. That's a fair estimate, that is until the new characters are implemented.

I think they're right in the first few top characters, but then it gets messy and "choosy" in the mid to low tiers....



Meh, I don't think Sagat's better than Bison and Blanka.



I felt the game to be very balanced. Though I still need to play more to see.



Sakura is definitely mid to mid-top, she's deadly!



The only tier I'd believe is one from Capcom, 'till that comes I will pay no mind to these people.

Right now Sagat is top for sure, but so far the game has real Virtua Fighter type tiers which means you can win with pretty much anyone.



I think it's because this game, unlike say Third Strike, consists of heavy zoning and you have to have a solid poke/footsie game to do well. Once you get yourself into a tough spot you cant just parry your way out of trouble in this game. Third Strike is fun in its own right, but a lot of basic street fighter strategy goes out the window with some of the gameplay elements present in that game. Also, right now there is no game breaking glitch like Roll Canceling that gives certain characters a serious advantage over others.



Everyone in the game has the tools to get the job done, you just have to have sound strategy. Outside of say Sagat's F+RH into Ultra, there are no real crutches in this game.




What's refreshing though is if you look at recent tournament results for this game, its a real mix of characters in the rankings so far. I'm sure this will change, but even though people know Sagat is a jerk, they are still experimenting with other characeters trying to take home the cash.



Over all though the tier list doesnt mean much considering we have like 3-4 new characters that will end up being in the home version which isnt more than 4-5 months away from release at this point anyway. One thing I'll say is that its a little concerning the new characters like Sakura didnt go through as much play testing as the rest of the cast. Although, since the game is now based on 3d models, if anything is too over powered they should be able to patch it with DLC. Sakura already looks pretty beastly and who knows what kind of madness Fei Long will be capable of.



Well whatever, who cares, it's a fun game!

I told you Vega was garbage. =)
