Continuing the proud tradition of Capcom-themed baked goods , Street Fighter superfan Paul sent in some pics of his recent effort:  Gingerbread Ryu. 

Paul also sent in a “Twas the Night Before Christmas”-inspired poem to accompany the Ryu cookies, though I’ve buried that after the link to protect the innocent .

It was a month before Christmas and all through the house,
A Ryu Gingerbread Man was made, so fierce it’d eat a mouse.
Paul Gale was the creator of this tasty little treat,
He knew from the beginning that Ryu could not be beat.
With his girlfriend Ashley by his side, and an oven very near,
It would be Street Fighter and dough that would strike fear.
So Ryu was baked at 360 degrees,
Why it would bring Zangief and his Piledriver to the knees.
How long would it last, this Capcom inspired art?
Oh about as long as it took to drive to the grocery mart.
So Ryu was eaten, and saddened was Paul,
But all was not lost, for these pictures tell all.
