“Versus Mode” is bringing a whole new flavor of Resident Evil to RE5 via DLC.

It’s got two gametypes–“Slayer’s Rule” (and Majini drool?), and “Survivor’s Rule.” “Slayer’s Rule” is a shooting gallery of Majini killification, where the most ruthlessly efficient killing machine racks up the top score to win.  “Survivor’s Rule” involves the phsyical challenge of not getting capped by another live human.  You can play one-on-one or two-vs-two, using a variety of characters from the game.

Versus mode will be available a few weeks after tomorrow’s launch for 400 MS Points on XBL, and $4.99 for PSN.  That means just as you’ve had a chance toget your fill of RE5 co-op with friends, Versus arrives to remind you what friends are really for:  shooting at.
