It's got some good screens and the AAI trailer, but the fun part will be the fully playable, fully embeddable Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth demo. We basically recreate a DS, buttons and all, in flash, and let you play all the way through a case. We'll let you know when the fully operational battle station goes live, so stay tuned, and check out the new site while you wait...
The mixmasters over at OCRemix.org (the guys we liked so much, we had them do the music for Street Fighter HD Remix) have taken on the infectious Ace Attorney tracks with great results.
The link above is for "Turnabout Sisters' Theme" from the Phoenix Wright OST (2001, Sugimori Masakazu). Head to their site for "Holiday with Mia Fey"!
Among the Capcom luminaries joining us at San Diego Comic-Con was Ace Attorney Investigations producer Motohide Eshiro. In addition to his panels and some signing sessions, he also spent some time talking with Joystiq's Kevin Kelly.
They talked about Ace Attorney history, playing as a prosecutor, fan communities, the new "logic" system, and the crazy concept of actually moving around in an Ace Attorney game!
When you're developing these titles, do the teams sit in actual court to watch how it goes? Do they watch old episodes of Matlock? How does that go?
The director of Ace Attorney Investigations was actually part of the Apollo Justice team, and as part of that team, he was able to go to real courts and watch the court proceedings and trials and things like that, so he'd be able to study from that. But, personally, I'm actually a big fan of mystery novels -- you know, novels based on logic and deduction, so that's where that flavor came from.
In the upcoming Ace Attorney game Gyakuten Kenji, you play as sassy prosecutor Miles Edgeworth. Accordingly, Capcom has recreated Edgeworth's study in the supremely popular Capcom TGS booth, complete with his ostentatious jacket of power!
In the study, you can of course check out the new game on DS, but it wouldn't be a Japanese trade show without exclusive swag, so you can get plenty of that too.
The owner of the Japanese virtual world Daletto is so enamored with the Capcom TGS installation that he personally made a virtual recreation of the whole booth! If you happen to be a Daletto member (or speak Japanese + want to join), check it out here.

GameDaily takes a quick stroll down memory lane and reviews their Top 25 Capcom Characters. It's a solid list (okay, it starts on some pretty shaky ground) and thinking back about a few of my old favorites made me smile on an otherwise grim Monday. After all, who can frown while thinking about Sasquatch?
