The cover story is a shockingly well-written wrap-up from Certain Affiinity generalissimo Max Hoberman on AoB's journey from a paper tabletop game prototype to a mind-bogglingly addictive RTS powered by electrons.
Game Developer Magazine is a dead-tree joint, so no links, but check it out if you get the chance, or just skip the ready-read and buy the game!
Also remember, the XBL demo is the FULL game--you can play for 48 hours and fall in love before we ask you for your points! With a price of $0.00 to try out the full game, you can't afford not to try it!

[Age of Booty]
You may have noticed new maps showing up on your Age of Booty map list already!
Today's new maps are "Oasis" and "Slow and Steady." The official DLC maps come with a "[CA]" tag in front of their names so you know it's got the officially official stamp of approval.
And just in case you think this is some launch-celebrating fluke, think again! There will be new DLC maps showing up in your list about twice a week! That's more free DLC than you can shake a pegleg at, all for the low price of 800 Microsoft points.
And of course, if you have your own ideas about what would make for an awesome map,
make it a reality with Booty's handy map creator, then spam your
friends with them so you can all sail around the cape together.

[Age of Booty]
Age of Booty is out today! You have to try it cause the demo is hot--you can play full-featured multiplayer with all the maps for free (you get two 24-hour sessions to try it out).
The matchmaking is smooth like butter. You'll find yourself sailing the high-seas with some teammates about 12 seconds after you start the game, and getting the hang of it is really easy. The full game is only 800 Microsoft Points and we'll be loading you up
with free DLC in addition to the in-game map creating+sharing you can
do with your friends.
We're camped out in Shawn's cube playing (on his tiny screen, after Shuhei the evil monitor thief stole the Vizios). If you're new to the game and want some gentle hand-holding, you can find us on XBL using the tags "Snow Infernus" and "Snow Bunnie 07."
That's right, I said Snow Bunnie.
Shawn is rocking the Elite XBox controller w/chat pad, and, yes, I am playing Age of Booty on a Street Fighter stick. What?

[Age of Booty]
Age of Booty sets sail tomorrow! As the most popular game on PartnerNet, it's already a hit with developers (and they're a tough audience!), but it's available to everyone starting tomorrow on XBox Live.
Booty is of course a pirate-themed RTS, but the awesome part is that anyone can just pick up and play. You don't have to obsessively clicking all over a screen cause you're just captain-ing your ship, but there's still plenty of resource finding/managing, dirty tricks (whirlpools, anyone?), upgrades, and sinking everyone's ships. Lots of sinking ships!
The multiplayer (where the game really sings) is fun right away, and we're putting our money where our mouth is with the demo: you get to play the real game with all the maps against everyone else (for a limited time). Once you buy the game, you can also use the map creator, share your maps with your friends, and enjoy free--that's right--FREE!--DLC.
The full game is only 800 Microsoft Points--you owe it to yourself to try this one out with some friends.

[Age of Booty]
The eyepatches were in full effect at last night's preview party for Age of Booty. A party for a digital download title? That's just how we do at Capcom.
With a room full of AoB kiosks, Capcom's own Shuhei on the turntables, and an open bar featuring the questionably named "Booty Juice" rum punch (the precise formula is a closely guarded Capcom secret), things got fun pretty quick.
Filled with gaming press, our frineds from Certain Affinity (the Age of Booty developers), Capcom friends and family, and of course the communi-TAY, the we had a rough-and-tumble Age of Booty team tournament, as well as Mega Man 9 with Protoman playable, and a complete build of Super Street Fighter II Turbo!
