Bionic Commando: Rearmed Half Price on XBLA

Wednesday, May 27, 2009, 03:23 PM [Capcom Digital Downloads]

In honor of the release of next-gen Bionic Commando, we're happy to say that the award-winning Bionic Commando: Rearmed is on sale for the ridiculously low price of 400MS points.

I honestly felt this is the most game you could get on XBLA even at the 800MS price (amazing single player, co-op, multiplayer deathmatch, plus insanely addictive challenge rooms), so selling it at half price makes this a total no-brainer. The soundtrack alone is worth more than 400MS, so if you have been living on a planet where fun was banned until now, do yourself a favor and buy this now.  It's, um... rad :)

Sale runs from today until next Wednesday, June 3rd, so don't sleep on this one.

PS- and don't forget owning BC:R nets you some sweet unlocks in the next-gen Bionic Commando!

Hit the jump for the full press release.

Capcom is pleased to announce that for a limited time, 360 owners can purchase the digital download title, Bionic Commando: Rearmed, for just 400MS Points on Xbox Live Arcade.

Bionic Commando: Rearmed is a reworking of the classic 8-bit title, Bionic Commando, which originally released 20 years ago on the NES. BCR brings intense side-scrolling shooting and grappling action up-to-date with stunning new HD visuals, weapons and bionic arm functionality. The musical score has also been redone to add a contemporary tone to this amazing new experience.

Other new additions include a 2-player co-op mode, online ranking system and exciting Challenge Rooms. And last but not least, completing certain sections in Bionic Commando Rearmed will unlock items in the new 3D sequel, Bionic Commando, that launched on May 19th.

This offer runs from Wednesday May 27th to Wednesday June 3rd. Download it today!

Capcom in IGN's Top 10 XBLA Games

Tuesday, May 12, 2009, 12:43 PM [Capcom Digital Downloads]

IGN has put up a Top 10 list of Xbox LIVE Arcade titles, and Capcom is representing with SF HD Remix and Bionic Commando Rearmed (the digital little brother of the upcoming Bionic Commando).

Of course there are a bunch of other questionable games on the list :)--you know the kind that sound fun, but you never want to actually play again after a couple of hours--but BCR is chock full with the old replay value, and you can play a great Street Fighter game for... like... ever.

No worries for 2009 either--Capcom is still busy in the digital space with Flock!, Age of Booty map packs, and of course Marvel Vs Capcom 2.

Meet Your Massive Marvel Vs Capcom 2 Cast

Tuesday, May 5, 2009, 05:01 PM [Capcom Digital Downloads]

GamesRadar has hit the ground running with an amazing introduction to the ENTIRE 56 character MVC2 cast.

The game's cast is so huge that even big Capcom and Marvel fans will likely find a few mysterious characters in the lineup.  Thrill to the backstories of Amingo, Shuma Gorath, and Jin (<3 Cyberbots).

Even if you think you know all about them (and trust me, you don't!), the whole thing is full of that beautiful Bengus art, so do yourself a favor and check this one out.
