    Capcom Fans Invading LBP

    Monday, November 3, 2008, 12:14 PM [Community]

A faithful (though boss-less!) recreation of Mega Man's Cut Man stage!

Next up is Street Fighter-inspired nightmare, featuring Sackboy vs a gigantic Ken Masters gone mad!  Lots of creative stuff here.

I've also randomly run across Resident Evil-inspired levels, and even one for Bionic Commando, but these are the ones I could find handy videos for =)

    Shinkuu....

    Friday, October 31, 2008, 04:53 PM [Community]

Do I feel bad about littering Capcom's front page with pumpkins, pumpkins, and even more pumpkins?  ...no.  Not even a little bit!

Here we have another awesome creation from the always-amazing Capcom fans.  This Street Fighter IV pumpkin comes from Street Fighter superfan Paul Gale

Paul sent us a gallery of pictures showing off the pumpkin as well as a video showing the gourd in its full, hadoken-y glory!  Nice work Paul!

    Capcom Pumpkins Ahoy!

    Friday, October 31, 2008, 04:23 PM [Community]

Kotaku has a great gallery of games-inspired pumpkins today.  Of course Capcom is all over it, with Phoenix Wright, Mega Man, and more.

This Zack & Wiki Wiki pumpkin won my heart, but you can check out the whole gallery here!

Scare Dr. Wily off your porch with this amazing Mega Man jackolantern!

While doing this is approximately as hard as it looks (re: very), you can find full instructions on how to make one yourself over at Instructables.

Also be sure to check out Paul's amazing Street Fighter IV pumpkin here!

    Street Fighter IV Arcade Rankings?

    Tuesday, October 28, 2008, 03:00 PM [Community]

Event Hubs (that's hubs, not hugs) has a controversial new chart listing the "Japanese" SFIV character rankings

I'm pretty sure this doesn't come directly from the Japanese Parliament, and there's no explanation of why exactly these are supposed to be THE Japanese rankings, but cross-referencing this chart vs my own impressions, they're not completely full of baloney.

Hit the jump to see who's #1, who they say is last, and for a surprise about which of the new SFIV characters (Abel, Fuerte, Rufus, and Viper) they say is the best.

And remember!--a rankings chart does not mean "Character X always beats Character Y," and what's interesting about this chart is that there are relatively few big mismatches, meaning that in almost every fight, the best player will win, no matter which character they choose.  What more can you ask for?

Anyway, what do YOU think?  How will the new console-exclusive characters stack up?  Only time will tell!
