In honor of the re-release of Mega Man 1 on the Wii's Virtual Console, I bring you this video--one of the fastest completions of the game in the world!

The video exploits a ton of cool glitches to achieve that crazy time (15 minutes and 29 seconds!), but everything done in the video is possible using nothing more than normal controller inputs. Part 2 of the video is here!

Although the players making these things are indeed awesome at the game, this is a tool-assisted video. What is that? It's a kind of cyborg meld of human and computer to become the ultimate game-defeatifying monster. More discussion and some clues as to just wtf is going on in that video here!

Translated from Capcom Japan's official Rockman site, Protodude has a fun breakdown of the stuff you can buy at the "store" in Mega Man 9--aka Dr. Light's Lab, where you can trade your Bolts for items and abilities.

There's lots of good stuff here. In addition to E-tanks and 1-UPs, there are some surprises as well, including a small, 8-bit book about hairstyles.
