Capcom regrets to inform consumers who have recently purchased the PC version of MotoGP 08 that we have just identified a technical issue with the PC version of the game. This issue only happens with MotoGP 08 PC when installing the game to a custom location on a hard drive; This issue does not affect the default installation, as it only occurs when the destination location has been changed.
To avoid this problem, please do not use the custom installation option to change the destination location for the game.
When the MotoGP 08 InstallShield Wizard reaches the step labeled “Choose Destination Location”, the default installation directory will be displayed (“C:\Program Files\Capcom\MotoGP 08”). Select “Next” to continue to the next step. Do not press the “Change” button.
In the next few days, Capcom will be releasing a patch for MotoGP 08 that will correct this issue. We regret any inconvenience that this may have caused our MotoGP community.
Race fans can customize their own rider, bike, and helmet(!) to go up against all the famous riders, bikes, and tracks you'll find on the 2008 circuit (including the previously unseen Indianapolis track and the Qatar night racing). These in-game track recreations are so faithful that the actual GP riders were pressuring Capcom staff at our Indianapolis booth for a sneak-peak at next year's game to get some early experience on the tracks (actually true story).
The fun thing about this year for racing newbs like me is the "arcade-style" option, making this the first MotoGP game truly open to newcomers who want to just pick up and play AND the simulation freak gearheads that fine-tune their own gear ratios. The online racing is also top-notch, and the game modes and challenges add up to tons of replayability.
The game is out today for XBOX 360, PS3, PS2, and PC, which also means it's available for download at ye olde Capcom Store (which is full of all kinds of good things lately).

The title will be available for the Xbox 360®, video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PLAYSTATION®3, PlayStation®2 and Windows® PC platform starting this week.. This is the first MotoGP™ title released under Capcom’s five year deal with Dorna Sports, which provides exclusive rights to publish MotoGP video games across all hardware platforms. MotoGP 08 is the official game of the 2008 season and features all of the official riders, bikes and tracks from the event along with the all new Indianapolis track and night racing at the Qatar circuit. For the first time in MotoGP, users will create their own rider, compete alongside their sporting heroes and develop racing skills for up to 5 seasons. If they’re successful, they have a shot at becoming the ultimate MotoGP champion. After choosing a team and bike class, players can customize their riders’ helmet design. As races are won, the stronger teams will look for recruits for the following season, enabling players to race better performing bikes. Users will finally have all three racing classes at their disposal – 125cc, 250cc and MotoGP. By including the 125cc and 250cc classes, users will have a different racing experience as they proceed through each class, while the game’s competitive AI can adjust to match the skill level of anyone who plays. The all-new tutorial mode helps users decide what motorcycle and racing style works best for them by practicing on arcade-style tracks. In Championship Race mode, players can select any class, rider and team and recreate the entire 2008 season from start to finish. Players can shape their own season by deciding weather conditions, difficulty setting, number of laps and handling model. Before each race, players can tweak the set-up of their bike, including which tires to use, suspension settings and gear ratios. There are 50 unique challenges that offer tons of hidden content.
