Dark Void, as you already know, takes place in, well, the Void. Getting to the Void is something that usually doesn't happen on purpose... Since you well know there's a ton of mysterious disappearances near the Bermuda Triangle, and lots of conspiracies and myths surrounding that area, you may expect to find pieces of real history that have traveled through the Bermuda Triangle into the Void. One such piece is the USS Cyclops. In 1918, it was traveling through (you guessed it) the Bermuda Triangle. It disappeared along with all 306 people on board without a trace. Of course, there's tons of speculation about what happened. Well, I'm here to clear that up... It didn't disappear, it just fell into the Void. The concept art above shows the way it looks after coming through to the other side... Didn't exactly fair to well, from the looks of it.
There's plenty of cool things that tie into real history in Dark Void like the USS Cyclops. Like one we've already mentioned, Nikola Tesla. Of course, he plays a much larger role, as he's responsible for creating Will's jetpack that you'll be using in the game. There's a few other things from history that play a role in Dark Void, but I'll let you speculate what those are...
