Monster Hunter Tri Screenshots – Awesome Monsters and Areas

Jun 12, 2009 // Snow

Monster Hunter 3 (tri) is looking fantastic. To prove it, here’s some brand new screenshots and a poster that add to the epic feeling that Monster Hunter gives you when playing. Big monsters to hunt, new armors, new areas… All backed behind possibly some of the best graphics on the Wii to date.

The new areas are looking like a blast to explore, showing off some areas in the forest and swamp. The monster shown reminds of a giant angler fish crossed with a puffer fish. Except, you know, WAY bigger. You can see him in the screens, but you can also see him in action against hunters on the official Monster Hunter 3 Japanese site . There’s trailers and commercials to watch that really bring out how cool and massive this game is.

For those of you who don’t play Monster Hunter, now is the time to pick it up. We’re less than two weeks away from launching a brand new Monster Hunter in the west, Monster Hunter Freedom Unite. You can check out the demo on the PSN , and play it on your PSP. It supports 4-player co-op, single player, new monsters, areas, weapons, and armors. Much like the screens your seeing for MH3 in Japan, Unite boasts more content than any other Monster Hunter game before it. There’s TONS of areas to explore, monsters to hunt, weapons and armors to create, and lots lots more!

Tri is hitting Japan in just over a month on August 1st. Monster Hunter Freedom Unite is out in just a couple weeks on June 23rd. Get to hunting!
