Monster Hunter Tri introduces an awesome new feature to the series: Splitscreen hunting! We've got a bunch of new screens to show it off to you as well. You're probably wondering how this works. It's very simple to get this going, actually. Just power on a second controller and select "Arena" in the main menu of the game.

You won't have to worry about gear or weapons either. Just select a monster to hunt, and you'll get all sorts of pre-set armors and weapons to choose from. Each of the quests has a time limit and record to beat that earns you exclusive items and rewards for your character to use when you go back to single player or online.

One more cool feature to this is utilizing the Wii-remote as a save device. You can load your character to your Wii-remote, go over to a friends house, load your character, and hunt splitscreen with him using your own hunter!
