Monster Hunter has hundreds upon hundreds of items, if not nearing the thousands. One of the most fun types of items are the various bombs. Everybody loves explosions! Some people use a technique called "Sleep Bombing" which involves putting the monster to sleep and laying bombs around it. Unity member and pro monster hunter, Moropa, has done a few videos showing bomb runs in a different fashion. Load up on bombs and bomb materials, find monster, light fireworks. No sleep involved. Just explodey goodness. 

It honestly looks like a great way to hunt a monster without even using your weapon. You'll need a couple of skills, though, to do it like Moropa did. High grade earplug, speed setup, and some felyne kitchen skills for turning your Large Barrel Bombs into Large Barrel Bomb + (LBB+).
