    Chase

    This Chase:

My mom, being the wonderful person she is, put my number down when she signed up with them.  Now she owes them money and they call MY phone about 12 times a day.  Seeing as I am not the card holder, I decided I was tired of putting up with them and came up with a new plan:

I press the ON button on my phone when they call and leave it by my PC speakers, which are almost always playing music.  I did this just a bit ago while listening to some Juno Reactor and they called not once, not twice, but three times!  They must really love JR, so I'm gonna look around for one of my Dimmu Borgir albums.  That should be an amusing experience, to say the least.

I don't have a problem with them calling, but when they call 12 times a day, that's going too far and so explains my reaction to it.  I'm also tired of some losers here in town putting my number down everytime they sign up for stuff.  I really need to find out how I can legally stop them from doing that.  Jerks.

    A few pix

Fore!  Thankfully for Ray's sake, I didn't notice I had my Proton Stream equipped and I hit L2...I didn't cause any $$$$ damage, but I did one shot the monster :)

    A view inside Ray's head.

Not as easy to see as when I was playing the game and took this, but his right eye = blue and left eye = brown (Wikipedia is once again wrong on what color the right eye is...it's not green).

A new feature of the new PS3 update.  When you view a submenu, it blurs the background, making the menu easier to read (in theory).  As you can see above, I already proved that the blurring doesn't actually help (at least for trophies).  >_<

Me and Azetlor are pals now

    Tuesday, September 1, 2009, 01:19 AM [General]

I just fought him on easy (doing a Nice Shooting Tex run).  When I was running toward him to slime his mask, I was saying to myself, "Yay I love this boss fight.  I'm gonna do great!"  Sure enough, for the FIRST time ever, I finished the fight with both of my GB's up!  Egon went down once, but I managed to lure Azzy to me, giving Ray time to run over and rez him.  After that, we all took the big lug on and maybe 2 two minutes at the most was how long the entire fight took.  Pretty awesome that I finally finished that fight with both of my dudes up (one would have been good enough for me, so imagine my surprise when I knew Azzy was going down and I had both still up).

Also, LOL Ray moment: "Take that you big jerk!"  And finally, he got to say, "Bye Azetlor" and not look like a cheapo taking credit for other people's work :)

    Yay

    Tuesday, September 1, 2009, 12:01 AM [General]

So after I got the new PS3 update (which I'm not exactly thrilled with...don't like the new start up and now we don't get the jingle when we start a game), I started up Ghostbusters the Video Game and it asked me to update it.  Yay update!  So far I've yet to have the problem where if you get into the game too fast your save will vanish temporarily.

I'm not really a big MP person (though if I meet someone who has the game too and IM, I'll game with ya...I don't have a mic ATM).  So the fixed trophies aren't that big a deal to me.  I've heard of some freezes, but have yet to have any of those.  So yeah I think I'm okay with this patch.  Glad they patched it tho.  That entire thing was pretty stupid, glitched trophies and such.

    Are You A God?

    Thursday, August 20, 2009, 07:10 AM [General]

Does this mean I can say yes:

For those wondering what exactly that means:

Means I pwned this game on the hardest difficulty.  When I started tonight, I was at the hotel.  I played straight through to the ending credits.  I also got an additional trophy upon completion:

Means I did over 3 million in damage (got it back in the museum, but I didn't actually get it awarded to me until I beat the game for whatever reason).

Ghost was stuck there and couldn't move.  I had to redo this section about three or four times.

I thought this was funny, Winston falling down right by me, until:

    Rats.

I think something is missing from that...

Ray REALLY ticked me off here.  Before you start this section, you get a little cutscene where Ray tells you that you and he are gonna flank those monsters.  Great.  No problem.  I never do that, though.  Not a good idea, when the AI can't take care of itself.  So I stay over near Ray so I can rez him faster and suddenly he says (paraphrased): "Flanking means I go this way and you go that way.  I know you're new and everything, but..."  WTF?

So I left him and...he got KO'd.  And I left him KO'd and took out all the cultists.  Then, even though I knew I'd fail, I moved on and left him:

I had no problem reloading from my last checkpoint on that :)  And I never rezzed Ray: he got auto rezzed when I reloaded from the checkpoint, lol.

I had a really bad habit that level of doing this...just standing there with him calling out for help.  That first one above I was sitting there typing stuff on Facebook while he was out...because FB is more important then rezzing Ray of course...

That time I actually rezzed him.  Let me show you the next pic and I'll explain why:

Ray, facedown in the fountain.  This part of the cemetery was pretty tough.  I'd walk to the wall and the giant fire breathing golem would break through.  I'd get back, though hilariously, almost every time Ray went flying.  I'd lure it to the fountain above so I had more room to fight it, but above was the end of my second try and I really wasn't in the mood to try again, so I got an idea and ran with it.  I left Ray KO'd and took on the giant and all three cultists plus pets by myself...and I won.  Once again proving I seem to do better at this game when I don't have the AI alive to help me.

Oh and the Stone Angel part?  Took a whooping one tries.  I mean seriously, I had an easier time beating it on Pro then I did on the other two difficulties combined.  LOL.

After that, I had a hell of a time with the cultists, babies, and finally the two giant statues, but I got through it and got to the final boss...two tries was all he took.  Later on I need to go back and get the missing trophies I need (I still need scientist and then the one trophy in times square for destroying the architects office).  Then I dunno what I'll do, as no mic, so I don't want to do MP.  :(  Guess we'll just see.
