As a big Ratchet & Clank fan I'm really looking forward to Spyborgs but dont own a Wii. So what are the odds there could be a PSN/XBLA release of Spyborgs in the future ? I get that for business reasons the Wii is the primary target and that very few games like this are made for the PS3/360 given the different consumer bases. A PSN/XBLA release could be possible as the graphics would not have to be updated (as good as they are on the Wii) & sales for such games are probably not too high in the first place on the PS3/360 so a digital release may be more cost effective ? Anyway heres hoping Spyborgs is a big success. |

Considering that Spyborgs is being developed with the Wii's capabilities in mind, I very much doubt that a PSN/XBL version (of this specific game at least) would be considered, as it would cut out so much of what makes Spyborgs a great game.

I guess though a Wii to Xbox 360 port may be easier (at least than the PS3) as I would assume development is in part done on a PC and then ported to the Wii so it's something I hope they at least consider in the future. I've no desire to buy a Wii so I'll have to miss this one for the time being. |

Spyborgs is built pretty specific to the Wii, so I'm not sure something like that would work very well. I can say for sure that there's no plans for it on those platforms.

Actually they are a great idea, if you plan right. For PS3/360 games, an exclusive console game is very expensive to produce and could very well be more profitable as a multiconsole game. The only way an exclusive can be more beneficial is if Microsoft or Sony foots part of the development costs. For this game however, I think asking for an XBLA/PSN release is kinda foolish. How could they release the game sans Motion control on XBLA/PSN and demand 50 bucks for it? Charging anything less would be a slap in the face but charging 50 would also doom it to obscurity as who would pay 50 bucks for this game on a service where 20 bucks is considered on the high side of things. I'm happy that Capcom is taking another risk on the Wii, and putting a lot of effort behind it. I just hope it pays off in the end. |

Don't you have enough to play on the other consoles?
I'm starting to think that the Dead Rising gluttony plot was written about single console owners.

Isn't the size limit for downloadable games a few hundred megabytes? This is a full retail-sized game that no doubt consists of several gigabytes of data. Plus the price and controls that the other people mentioned. It just couldn't work as a downloadable game. Except maybe for PC, but then there's still the control issue. |
