2nd level and already encountered two major glitches

I didn't even make it to the end of the 2nd level before a 2 major glitches caused me to quit the game and make me not want to start it again Its kinda of hard to describe but basically what happened was after trying to do a special move part of the screen is blocked off by what looks like part of a giant sword and I couldn't finish the level despite killing all the bad guys WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
