I've said many times on these forums that not all tournament players are equal. There are the elite players, and then there are the middle of the road players, and even players like myself who suck but still enter anyway for the fun of it, the social interaction, and the chance to learn more about the game. Not EX3 mind you, I can beat anyone in that game. |

haha, i know. he tried to make an arguement with me about nothing one time (see, i can't even remember what it was about). i usually try to make them end fast because it's not worth it to fight. i'll admit i'm wrong if i am. but so what if you win an internet battle? it's no big deal. if you trade a couple posts, ok, i guess. but 14 pages?!

Yikes! All that nonsense was just too much to read so I just skimmed through it to get the main idea, LOL. OK, so other than a couple local tournies lately I haven't played in any SF2 tournies for about, oh 15 years, LOL. But thanks to the miracle of GGPO (and now Remix) I've gotten to play EVO champs and pros like AfroCole, Graham Wolfe, AfroLegend, Alex Valle, Sirlin, etc. I've also gotten to play the best of XBL, as well as the average and the not so good of XBL (ever since AE came out on Xbox1).
The difference between players like Valle and Silrlin and your better than average XBL player? There just much, much, better. I've logged a lot of time on AE, HF, and Remix over the years and I've been lucky enough to get to play a bunch of matches lately with guys like Sirlin and Valle and the difference in quality of play is huge. I have to play my "A" game non-stop just to keep up, while this guys are just enjoying casuals, LOL. Just imagine how they play when it means something.
Now are there "online" players that could hang with these guys. Sure, players like KJ out the 17th and maybe a couple others but they are very few and far between and most definitly the exception to the rule.
There, argument ended. Now, what did this have to do with the topic anyway? |

You didn't answer my question. You danced around it and pretended that you know what you're talking about when you don't. What are the chances of a casual player who only plays with the same 4-5 players having the same vasts amount of knowledge and experience that someone like Mike Watson has who has "proven" to both know the game and execute what he knows when he has played against thousands of players, all in the golden age of SF on top of that.
Answer: its a 50% chance....the either have the knowledge and experience or they dont...simple mathematics I'm suprised you didnt already know the answer..got any more dumb questions???? I have not been talking about casual players who play the same 5 people all their lives,Please read before post and also engage your brain that will stop you from asking irrelevant and pointless questions. your question was irrelevant. And you havnt even answerd my question...infact nobody has, so I'll ask it again. What do trny players do in their games in terms of skill that a regualar experienmced player dosnt??? Cant any of you answer that. what do they demonstrate in their gameplay that an experienced casual street fighter player cannot do??? and also watch these videos of these so called elite players...ask yourself is what your seeing the best that anybody can do in the world. You guys must really suck at SF if you are impressed by that |
