According to SFIV producer Yoshinori Ono, Capcom would reconsider the development of Capcom VS SNK 3 if fans demand it. http://kotaku.com/5134083/street-fighter-iv-producer-does-not-rule-out-capcom-vs-snk-3 http://www.gamercenteronline.net/2009/01/17/capcom-vs-snk-3-is-very-not-impossible/ http://www.jeuxactu.com/article-34811-exclu-street-fighter-iv-interview-yoshinori-ono.html

Definitely! I especially want a follow-up to the series! It's too good to let it go unfinished.

this game was way more how would you put it, epic than the marvel series. I would love for it to come out but it would only happen if snk got something in return*

I'd prefer it if they make Street Fighter vs. The King of Fighters instead of Capcom vs. SNK 3. I'm really not that interested when it comes to Demitri vs. Iori or Zangief vs. Haohmaru. If they make Capcom vs. SNK 3, they might make match ups like Mega Man vs. Mars People...

Please Help Support Darkstalkers HD Remix! If enough support is made and if this game makes enough profit, then we might be able to get a new Darkstalkers sequel in the style of Street Fighter IV or even better!!! |

I disagree, there are a lot of interesting characters on both sides that we would miss out on if we simply had SFvKOF and not CvS3. Besides, since it'll probably use the SFIV engine if it does go into production, then adding characters wont be as labor intensive as it would be were they using 2D sprites.

If anything however, I wodner if it would be better to either simplify the grooves. In other words, have only two grooves (capcom and snk) that are then balanced against each other. Say for example, have the Capcom groove based on SFIV's system (FA's, Ultras) then have the SNK groove based on KoF XII (critical counter, clash), or something similar. Either that, or take grooves out altogether and make a system that takes from the best systems of each company into one. Consider that SNK started KOF XII around 2004 and their still only about 80-90% done (with a rather limited cast for a KOF title), while Ono and his team started SFIV around 2006 (after XBLA Hyper Fighting) and are already workiong on the second version (console) of the game, with additional characters.
