The contract have been ended a while ago.But with the demand, capcom is still considering porting mvc2 on xbox live and psn despite business issue. And they is also mvc3 that is very demanded. With the tvc engine, you would wait for more than 10 years to see 180 characters in a fighter. |

I was doing a little web browsing and came across an article on ign.com
" July 25, 2008 - While this is in no way direct confirmation that a new Marvel vs. Capcom game is in the works, Kevin Feige, President of Production at Marvel Studios did give fans a ray of hope to cling to before an official announcement is made. When asked if a new Marvel vs. Capcom game is possible someday Feige said, "Yes. And maybe sooner than you think."
This is as they said a ray of hope. A MVC3 would look spectacular using the engine from this game. You should check out capcom vs tatsunoko to see what I am talking about. I wouldn't mind playing or buying that game. But it probably never officially reach U.S. soil. Oh well just thought I'd get some feedback from you guys on what this may mean in the future. Of course it could just be loose talk who knows. Sagat Rules!!!! |

1.Marvel dont have their big martvel based games for the end of 2010,and capcom would like to make it,so it likely if it come at the soonest,it going to be 2010.It just a spectaculation of mine but it would make sense of doing it in 2010. 2.All older marvel based games have the same right issue as a new mvc.The marvel license affect everything marvel that capcom made. 3.The license were talking about is the marvel fighting games license. So activision have nothing to say on that. The only thing that would make activision sue is if they do a x-men,spider-man only fighting game. There, activision have all the right concerning because they own the right for specific spider-man and x-men games. |

Did marvel really say there will be a M vs C 3? If I recall the latest news was on-line play of M vs C 2. |

No,marvel responded about if anew mvc was possible someday and they replied^yes and maybe sooner than you think^ That doesn`t confirm any new mvc or anything marvel related with capcom, but thanks to several interview,it show that both want to do it but they is also some licensing and business issue to go agaisn`t a new mvc. Mvc2 got a rating for xbox live and psn but i think it just a rumor, nothing real at all.It been a while the rating appeared and nothing new came from the rating. That should explain everything. |

how is capcom going to release a MvC3 by 2010 without a Marvel license? They could do a compilation perhaps (w/o X:cota; someone has that license) but they can't release a new game without a new license... Activision could sue.
