the same reason they took long to announce if you have to pay for alt coustumes BAD NEWS

Im guessing the online has a maximum of 2 players in a lobby, which would be a huge downgrade from HD Remix. Im ok with it as long as their isnt any lag. There havent been any screenshots of more than 2 people in a lobby, also their is a screenshot of create a match and it hasnt got the option of selecting how many people you want in your room.

it'd be great if they'd at least allow us to have 4 people a la UMK3. Two people is kinda boring because I feel bad if I keep kicking the same guy's butt over and over again.

but charging for alternate outfits is a very poor choice. Dead or Alive 2, 3, 4, doesn't charge us for alternate gear, and back then fighting games like MK, Soul Calibur, SF@3, etc... had a bunch of unlockables. So why charge us for something so trivial?

This is just as bad as the horse armor in Oblivion, Bethesda learned a lesson. And we as fans, should be as loud as possible when we are getting ripped off to the point where it's starting to become standard.

I don't care as long as it doesn't increase lag!

I don't mind 2 people in lobby at 1 time that much, most of the time on hd remix im playing in a 2 person room because I like playing good people, round after round, I hate spectating unless I'm in a room with my friends.

As for the alternate costumes, I don't really care that you have to pay for it, because IMO they all look terrible except for a couple.

I like how Dead or Alive Ultimate had between 7 - 20 alternate costumes for every character.

It was a remake though, so they really had to give that extra incentive to buy it.

One of the achievements/trophies has a name like "Line Starts Over There" and its requirement is beat 5 people in a row in a lobby, so I doubt it
