Honestly GenBison I think the guy who was complaining about that pad in the thread had a bad pad. I pre-ordered my pad and have played with it since friday since it has come ups. (Next Day Air Saver ftw) I hooked it up to my pc first just to see how much pressure was needed and to check if I got a bad pad. The pad is fine the only problem is getting use to the dpad. It has a bigger pad so it calls for a bigger range of motion or it has a longer throw ( whatever you prefer to say). I have played 1942 beat the game only using turbo, I beat R-Type both games only using turbo. I only used the dpad not set to emulate the left thumb stick. I have play SSFII Turbo HD and I have taken my loses to get use to the motions. The controller is fine once again. You have to get use to it. Other games test have been battle fantasia, and the controller works like a charm.
We get a good pad and now when people have to get use to something new they write it off as broken. Btw When I ordered from gamestop it only showed the akuma pad but when it came in the mail I got chun-li it seems gamestop is using random select when they are sending out the pads |

No you dont need drivers it is plug and play. I am running vista on my laptop I plugged it in and it just downloaded the drivers. Thats all you need to do. |

I made a thread with this information. Windows XP won't read the controller as a controller unless you download the drivers manually.
Also, my local best buy had a few of them as well. Sadly I own a PS3 so I couldn't snag one ha, no big deal though.

I just picked mine up! I called around this morning and found a Best Buy who had them. The employee said there were two left and I held one. When I got there the other one was already sold. The buttons are bigger than I thought they would be, which is good. The D-pad looks really good. I still don't know why they couldn't make it wireless. $45 (after tax) is pretty hard to swallow. |

Very cool. Yeah I would have ordered one from GS's website, but I decided not to when i saw that they would be chosen randomly. Gotta have either Ken (first choice) or Chunners. Didn't wanna take any chances. Makes no sense that they are all the same SKU.
A friend of mine out in CA (i'm in TN) got his and was having some issues. Maybe he still needs to adjust and it's not the pad. Most of the info i have read online have said the pad is amazing. But yeah I'm not gonna know until I hold it in my hands.
Is it the 18th yet? |

Yeah, I checked the thread and that person went and exchanged his pad and the new one works like a charm. He loved it and was singing its praises in a later post. |
