Finally found SF: Anniversary Edition for Xbox!

Man... been wanting this game for years, basically for 3rd Strike. Had a chance to get 3rd Strike years ago for Dreamcast when I was younger, but it was either that or Marvel Vs Capcom 2 and that wasn't even a question of which to get lol.

I always wondered what all the hype was surrounding this game 3rd Strike. And it's actually a really cool game, I had my first run through with Ryu of course, and will do others later. I did training mode with Sean, dude is BA!

I can understand why there's no SFIII characters in SFIV though, jumping into this game from playing HD Remix and the original SFII over the years is a totally different experience. In all honesty, I think Crimson Viper would fit perfectly into the universe of SFIII. Capcom should just place them in there own game like SFV or something.

And Gill is cheap as hell!! I beat him and all of a sudden... "RESURRECTION!!!" BULL! Lol...

How does this game play on Xbox 360? Anybody doing it? I just decided to hook up my original Xbox and play it on there, but if it works fine on 360 and granted ppl still get online with it I'll play it on there.

You can get a hit on Gill while he's doing Resurrection. If you hit him, it interrupts the health regenerating effect, so you don't have to beat him down from full life again.

Don't main Sean unless you're ready to go down a very difficult road.

But if you're not that big on fighting games and you don't play that many people, eh, do whatever.

It's a great game. I was a bit late on picking it up too. I still remember when I first learned to parry. My friend and I spent all night in training mode making Ryu throw fireballs at us.

Artsta, nice job on picking up the game! I hope you have a lot of fun with it and people do still play online for Xbox/xbox 360. its not 100 perfect with a slight lag at times maybe, but its well worth it and still loads of fun and competitive.

I had a hard time looking for a copy of the game myself.

I still have the Dreamcast version and I do play it every now and then.

Anyways, you enjoy your copy of the game.

it took me about 7 gamestops before i found one and that was only the game and no instructions.. Now i played all the SF3s in the arcades and i bought the PS2 one when it first came out.  I bought xbox one recently because i picked up a joystick for my 360 which was for SF4.  Anyway, it's an awesome game and it's a great feeling when you parry ken's shinryuken against another player. And yeah if you play it on the 360 there is lag especially on the high jumps...which messes up  your timing.

The only thing I hate about the anniversary edtion of Third Stirke is some stuff from the Dreamcast version was taken out. Like all of Q's winning comments.

Anything else other than Q's quotes?

Well it was really just Q's quotes I miss. The other stuff was just minor like, in the bonus stages at the end a horn gets blown, and that's about it.

Here are Q's winning comments.

"!?................................(Seriously?!)"

".....................................(Leave)"

".......................................!(Never!)"

"..........................................(Bye)"

".........................................(Done)"

".........................................?(Again?)"

In the anniversary collection Q's winning comments appear blank.

A few people (like myself) still play online and its not too bad. The game has some lag from the online and slowdown (during highjumps) from being emulated on 360.

3rd strike is the best though if you and some buddies really dedicate the time to learning it.
