I have a problem when it comes to videogames. It started when I first played the N64. I popped in Diddy Kong Racing and within the hour I was down and out. Whenever I play a 3D game for the first time that has saturated colors and a high frame rate I get nausea and a skull-cracking headache. My computer chuggs when I try to watch HD vids of the game so I've only been watching matches on Blurtube. For you guys that got your hands on a copy early, have any of you experienced headaches during your first sit-down with the game? I wanna be prepared because I will be playing this all night. |

I feel the same way...I get light headed, and it feels like I'm not really playing. It's like only my eyes and fingers are alive, and then when I remember I'm playing, I feel fuzzy and my head hurts. |

3D games especially first-person have been known to cause headaches or nausea to a certain percentage of people. Personally I'll feel sick if the frame-rate drops too far or if the pixels sparkle too much..

Only game I can remember this happening to me was Maximo. Damn, sure did hate the game because of it. Very irritating experience.

For those that do have this problem. Make sure you play it in a room full of light (well lit), so that the flickering of the screen only has minimal effect on the total light in the room. Do not sit too close to the screen. Drink herbal teas like Green tea or even better Chamomile tea. That will help to avoid most of the problem. Cheers!

I used to have this problem, but I eventualy learned it was dehydration. I can't imagine it's dehydration for everyone though since there is a warning in every instruction manual ever. |

I've never had a headache from playing a game but first-person-shooters tend to make me feel ill. For me the feeling is almost akin to sea sickness. Perhaps viewing distance is an issue for you. I find sitting further back from the TV when playing certain games really helps. |

wow. that's not good. make sure you're in a well lit room and not too close to the televison. There may be a health and safety section of your booklet too. also take breaks from playing.

Yea, this happens to me sometimes, but I feel better if I drink Orange Juice or water to keep me hydrated. |

Never did have this problem, but I was playing Mario Kart Double Dash with my friend and we got to rainbow road, halfway through the second lap he just flew of the track and when he respawned he wasn't moving... I turned around and he was laid out on my bed...... My Reaction: YES THIS RACE IS MINE! Nah I am joking I helped him but its not a nice thing to see.
