Now that SFIV is out it's inevitable that people will start discussing what they want to see in the next SF game, but rather then have a ton of different threads devoted to the same topic(s) this thread will be the devoted thread for that discussion. So feel free to talk about whatever next SF, ie Street Fighter 5, Street Fighter Beta, Super Street Fighter IV, Street Fighter RPG, etc, in whatever fashion (character lists, gameplay, direction, etc) you desire. |

Then why not use already existing ones? Why open another one? Because the other ones are either just about SF5 or SFIV Turbo, not to mention they always start off as "what do you want to see in X Game, btw here's my ideas first" and as a result the ideas or whatever presented in that first post set the tone and end up taking priority over all others because it's what everyone sees first. I do want the people who posted in those previous threads to repost their ideas here though. |

I'd like to think the Capcom are working on two things right now - one would be the next big one, SF5....but by working on it i mean early early concept ideas so that in say 3 or 4 years we have a brand new street fighter, that is set after SF3, and incorporates a mixture of the SF4 cast along with the SF3 cast.... - but in the short term I'd like a Championship edition i think...wouldn't require too much, say 4 or 5 extra characters tops coz there's already alot, but a bunch more backgrounds , some new music etc....and obviously sweet new artwork. |

I'd like a Super Street Fighter 4, SF4: Round 2, or whatever you want to call it, but the key is that its an expansion that builds on the current fight/graphics engine rather then implementing a new one. I'd like it to be released in 2 formats, an all in one full normal game price, or an "expansion" price that requires you have the original SF4 but costs significantly less (seriously rebuying the same game over and over got really old really fast and was one of the reasons Street Fighter lost alot of its steam that resulted in SF4 taking so long to come out). This expansion features a rebalanced, revamped, version of all the existing SF4 cast from the console. This in many cases will include a new move here and there or maybe reworking on the way certain, less then useful, moves work to make them more useful. It will also revamp a handful of the unnecesarily difficult move inputs to make them more reasonable. For instance theres really no reason for hooligan throw to be as tricky as it is, all the motion is currently doing is serving to make Cammy less accessible which is counter intuitive to the new mindset of street fighter 4. 4 new original characters. 2 characters from SFA3, and 4 characters from SF3 (hopefully its ok to add them now since they weren't part of the original game), so 10 characters added to the line up total. 1 set of new challenge mode trials for each classic character plus a full set for the new characters. 1 new outfit for all SF4 characters (must be unlocked via their new challenge mission trial for classic characters, or final challenge mission for the new characters). Mid arcade mode mini-games (think car smashing, barrel breaking, plus some new ones). Observable quarter matches online. Additional "Having done such and such, So and so went on to..." dialogue with still image after the ending anime movies for every character just to further bring closure to their arcade stories and give a new incentive to rebeat the arcade mode with classic characters. |

I will like for the nest SF game to come out in 5 years not a decade like SF4. The next SF should be a sequel to SF3 and introduce new character and have characters from SF3. NO parry system. Every SF game has a different system for example SF0 has the ism system, SF3 has the parry system, and SF4 has the focus system. So I think its only right that if they ever make SF5 it should have a different system than that of the previous SF games. The next sf should also have better and new music.I'm tired of hearing remixs to the SF2 theme songs. They should do like in SF3 and make new and better music. You also have to admit that some of the songs in SF4 are awful. I will also like for at least Guy from Final Fight to be in the next game. As for graphics....I don't think it can get better than SF4. SF4 might be the best looking fighting game out there....so that's cover. |

In reality we have a better chance at some upgrades for SF4 via DLC. As for the next game, hummm I don't see it being SF5 but rather another side series like Alpha/Zero. I would like to see that, with some fighters from other Capcom games as guest fighters much like how SFA had the Final Fight characters. It could take place after SF4 but before SF3, and include SF3 characters. SF5 should take place after SF3. |

I think capcom should do like compagny like sega and namco about fighter. They keep the entire cast^excluding the home console characters, but they could be bring back as console exclusive^And they add some new one and bring back some other as well.So by doing so they can focus on the gameplay and they dont have to worry too much about the cast.Plus the characters have a lot of rooms to expand their moveset as well. So the next game should be a sequel to sf4.For the home console version, some characters from ssf2t and sf3 would appear as well^dee jay, thawk,q,hugo^and some sfa3 characters would come back as well. Or my other idea is a sequel taking place in modern time.Ryu,ken, alex and ibuki come back and a new cast of modernised characters is introducted as well.So that would make the sf world come closer to our timeline. |

For the next step, I'd like to see an SF title set in the past. During the days of the master's( Goutetsu, Gouken, Gouki, Oro, Gen, Zeku, etc.) youth, to give us greater details concerning the origins of a Street Fighter. It should be a hybrid of action/beat 'em up and fighting. Since the Illuminati was in exsistence over 2000 years ago, I'd love for Capcom to reveal more about what was going on with this organization, and to explain how it affects SF in general. And then move on to SFV..... |
