A true tutorial mode would be welcome for beginners.

There is so many things to learn about fighting games in general and Street Fighter IV specificities. It is really painful for a newcomer who wants to learn about those concepts to find a clear and exhaustive tutorial. And many fighters abandon because they don't understand why they never have priority, why their super moves never hit, or why they get hit although they guard, etc.

What I have in mind is the excellent tutorial mode from the PS2 version of Virtua Fighter 4 Evolution. This tutorial was perfect and taught the basics as well as the expert moves, so that everyone could learn whatever his level. It also provided advanced training settings allowing to work on one's weaknesses. If we could get something similar on SSFIV, it would be wonderful.

I wonder if we'll get that waterfall stage that has been brought up numerous times even before SFIV came out. I'd say that was the most requested besides the usual specific character stages.

How about unlockable easter egg background characters for the various stages?  It would give people incentive to finish certain challenges without keeping key content unavailable.  If all the characters are opened up from the getgo (a good thing), this would still give players a reason to accomplish certain goals.  It might also make some of the duller backgrounds a bit more bearable as you look for cameos in each.

A record option for all matches, not just finals in championship mode.

And maybe an option for when you watch a replay to be able to watch it from any angle, which I think would just be cool for the cool factor.
