I know this is a stupid question but how do you perform a move where you have to charge? The book says hold briefly before moving on but that doesn't work for me. I just can't seem to pull off a charge move, I haven't even by accident. This is seriously annoying as i can't use M . Bision or other good characters. I'm using a 360 pad and the analog stick.

Also some tips on how the easily pull off an U.Combo. I can occasinally do it with Ryu but is there an easy way to pull this off? Thanks.

Press back leave it pressed (2 seconds if it is not a linked attack) and then press foward + kick or punch...congrats you've just perfored a charged attack.

charge means mostly hold it for 2 or 3 sec and then its done :P

for bison psycho  crusher hold back for 2 or 3 second then forward + punch.

how ever if you use the anologe it may fail since some times it doesnt work if the last input isnt forward. so if you get foward, down or forward,up its fails as far as i can remember.

for ultra and supers you realy need to get use to it there not realy a easy tip for it depents on how you play.

hoop this helps

Who says that they are going to run away? And even if they do, that's what comes with being a charge character, unfortunately. However, charge moves usually have advantages over normal moves, e.g. Guile's Sonic Boom has better recovery than Ryu's Hadouken. Also, that's a FireBall so you don't need to be near the opponent for it to have effect.

With the example you're using, Bison, he has a head stomp to get near the opponent with. On higher levels you can combo from a jump with a series of punches and kicks to take time off the charge and eventually include it with combos.

There, should be plenty examples there for you. Though I should mention the example is about as professional as you can get.

You can charge by pressing example LEFT and Down for 2 seconds.

You can also charge while jumping, and can also charge during focus attack.

You can charge back "2 seconds" while down "i.e the same way u block a low attack"then press fwd+button at the same time.

You can charge back while doing a forward, vertical or backward jump "need a good timing to achieve this" make the jump> quickly press back while in the air and right after landing press fwd+button.

This apply to down charge attacks and to the charge super/ultra combos.
