between one and the other, a big penalty is the only way to stop people from abusing of that, and keep an online comunity, and make it bigger, i mean the top 10 must play like gods, not be fast to disconect or turn off the xbox, anyone can do that, im absolutly happy with my 30 or 40 losess, it says those guys played better at that time, and they did, i mean is a game, why cheating on something like this, is about who perform better no? |

Somebody else suggested on a similar forum that both players should have the points they were going to win and lose taken aside and the winner gets what he deserved and the loser or DC gets the loss of BP points.

What does it say when it's not on purpose? Yup 10 points is too little for someone who's like 1000+ trying to keep their score up. Say it takes them 3 matches to find someone they can beat that's -20 +lots more = net profit. Might as well just make them lose how much ever they'd have lost in the first place or make it a percentage.

Although I agree and I feel only as others have said a -10bp and a loss sounds right. Also this really should be in the SFIV Praise / Complaint thread as its a constant disscussion in there.

Does anyone good ever do it? I would think only scrub ken does it. BP doesnt even show your win lose record. and most people can't even see it until after the match. I would think only people who are "desperate" to win would not people who know they can win. Just don't lose to those guys and they stay at whatever bp forever.
Even if they disconnect you still get your bp right? |

I've disconnected once when it was too laggy to play. And by too laggy I mean every move was choppy and a dragonpunch lasted 4 seconds. But I rarely run into lag that bad...

Thats weird on a game that tells u how good the conections are be on a lagg match sounds like not paying atention, if u host, u dont have lag, and if u join just choose conections from yellow 4 stripes to green, so i dont think quiting is justify not even in that situation....well also can happen that ur oponent start downloading porn in a middle of match????....lol weird |

I rarely host... I bet out of the hundreds of ranked games I've played I've only hosted maybe 5? Quick Match doesn't show you a connection meter. They are always flashing no bars.
