One day their may be a Capcom video-game that would--will fit the Tekken mold perfectly (in a sense); however, as of now "long-range" projectiles is the oil that would taint the water (mold) that makes Tekken as free-flowing as it is still (despite Devil's eye beam).

I would love to see a Capcom video-game that is geared more towards so-called brute strength & close--medium combat; with Street Fighter & other existing Capcom characters optional at times only (minus some character specific moves; also optional, maybe)!

Street Fighter is what it is; a great video-game as it has always been & still is (mold-wise), if Capcom can develop a true Tekken-Like video-game from scratch, and that independent video-game title does succeeds time-n-time again (with or without optional guest characters included) then maybe one day Capcom should then develop a like-wise Street Fighter video-game of the same sort. As of now.. most Street Fighter "lovers" seem unwilling to be comfortable with the dramatic changes that would take place by putting the Street Fighter characters within a Tekken-Like realm; with or without projectiles.

The thing is the fact that the tekken characters would have some long range moves.

Jack could have some, Nina and Anna could Jin DOES when he goes devil.

Lots of people could. However what I'd like to see more would be a Namco X Capcom that isn't a tactical RPG.

That would sell hot. Cause then it'd have SC people Resident evil people  tekken peeps Tales of Symphonia and All kinds of stuff.

Heres hoping they learned from that.

I don't think it would be good because most of the people in tekken can't use projectiles which would make the game unfair

I cannot be the only one who likes this game. What do you say Unity, time for a poll?

yeah it's a cool mix up but from game points SF is about precision and timing your hits, while tekken mainly involves juggling your opponent so either Hadoukens go or Jin throws a Hadouken. So for now the closest you can get is Namco X Capcom wich is really an RPG

I've been thinking about this match up.  I can't think of a way could work other then each company makes their own game to their own style.  Capcom makes the game based on zoning, spacing and strong combos while Namco makes one based on strong launcher juggles, throws and close range mix ups.

How would the Tekken characters play in a Capcom game and how Street Fighter characters play in a Namco game?
