We all have players that give us trouble, but have you ever played anyone that you feel is on another level? I'm expecting the usual, no one can beat me responses - and, of course, those claims will either be proven true or false in short time - because there are alot of good players who post here. In fact, personally - I'm really looking forward to them - because I love a challenge. My GT is GAV60. I'm on 360. I'm sure other players from here will rep Ps3 in a similar manner. Early on, anytime I wanted to improve - I would look for Jumpsuit - because he would never fail to shred my gameplan - then my fighter. There is nothing better than a real trial by fire to improve your game. Those games are either - get better - or get embarressed - and they serve to open your mind to new techniques - while also sharpening your existing techniques in terms of precision, timing, and how they are utilized. I haven't been able to catch Jumpsuit for a while, but I'm sure he remains the consummate professional - and other fighters - like DGV, Dav 35, along with others - have stepped forward to give me the taste of defeat through those trials by fire that I need in order to improve my play quickly. Recently, two players in particular have beaten me so consistently that I begin to question my approach to the game. One is damdai. He's beaten me so many times over the past few days, that I have not even a clue as to what the count is. When he locks down, I just can't seem to even get to him. I'm patient, but eventually - my life bar just runs out. Sometimes, I'll get him low - and then he'll hit me with a 2/3 life bar damage combo. I'm not complaining, rather marveling. He's given me a level to reach for. The other is xxOH MY GODxx. I haven't played him nearly as much as I've played damdai, but he has a very dynamic style that is usually space oriented, but not limited to the spacing game - as his combos and throws are very formideable. I have stolen a match here and there from him, but in terms of skill - his is a notch above mine. I always enjoy our matches because no lead is safe - and getting a lead is only likely if I can get him to make a mistake - and his mistakes are few and far between. I have heard of another unbeatable SFII warrior who goes by the XBL GT Haru Teyjo, but haven't had the pleasure of facing him. Weigh in. Who can't you beat? Elaborate why. |

I played some guy about a week ago who was thrashing me loads. I was in a room of three slots and me and this other guy were trying to beat him for about 20 matches. The other guy didn't win any and i only won one. I tried about half the roster and this guy was also using about half the roster but i could only manage the one win with blanka and i was only one jab from losing that match too. I still kept on playing though as i find it a good learning experience to play better fighters even if it does suck not to get a look in sometimes. In the end he left as he probs got bored and decided to look for a better challenge. Can't remember his PSN id but if i do i will post it up here. I wouldn't really class myself as a completely crap player as i would say i win about 55-60% of my online matches but there are some players who i come across who are mega good which always gives me a push to improve. |

Damdai's Ken messes me up real good, normally I can take Ken out no problem, but Damdai will outright TOD you on the spot.

There were some close matches, but he finds a way to win consistently. The players in the room weren't chumps either. With SFII, there is no ceiling - and that's a beautiful thing. |

I can't beat DGV's ryu. Ever. I did won a round off him once and I jumped for joy. For me, that was a victory.

He's definitely a tier above myself, but I can get him here and there. I haven't been able to catch him online for a while. |

Hmm. I suspect playing from the UK really hurts me here due to time differences and avoiding lag from both ends (like I hardly ever host in Ranked anymore), but I've been beaten by OH MY GOD. I was really annoyed with myself as I was 2-0 up in rounds and got overconfident and cocky. I wish I'd known how good he was cos I usually focus more when it's someone I recognise. Actually the only guy on my Friend's list I've never beaten is the infamous Mr Irepressible! We've only played about 6 times or something though, but I have so much trouble with his Guile with my Dee Jay. Yet it's funny, I'm no good with Ryu, yet I almost beat him the first time I tried with Ryu - cos I can break him out of his turtle style, so it's a lot to do with matchups and our respective styles of play. He's far from the best player I know though - Beef Bowl is rarely seen on HDR but he's utterly ridiculous at SFAE and beat me about 30 times over with almost every character before I got a match off him (although I'm a lot better now than I was then). And Critical Combos maybe the best player I've played in the UK. I dunno though, there's so many great players around, and I'm still constantly learning at HDR. |

I don't think I've ever played Beef Bowl. I always assumed Critical Combos was Critical King - because they play so similarly - and I haven't seen King in a loooong time. Remy, what's your GT? Look for me on XBL. I'de love to get some games in with you. |

Hey Gav, good games. I was the Fei Long you played earlier. There was a little lag. I think it was me, sorry about that. I wanted to play some more but I lost connection, and I left so I could fix it. It was kinda bugging me, haha. But I really look forward to playing you again!
