How Long Do You Think Capcom Will Announced Third Stirke For PSN & XBLA?

I'm gonna say until Tokyo Game Show '09 Capcom will announced Third Strike for PSN & XBLA. Here's two reason why...

1. Tokyo Game Show is in September and Marvel Vs Capcom 2 will be out sometime in the Summer, so with Marvel Vs Capcom 2 out of the way, Capcom will focus on Third Strike.

2. I also believe that Third Strike's popularity is much higher in Japan than it is outside of the region, so annoucning in Japan will be no surprise.

What do you guys think?

Also, if you want to know what I want in the port of the game, check out this thread.

It would be awesome to have Third Strike on Xbox Live and PSN!

But I think Capcom is focusing their attention on Marvel vs. Capcom 2 right now. It wouldn't be very smart to release many of these classic 2D fighting games at once. Hopefully, we see this game announced later this year, or maybe next.

I disagree.

SFIV has rejuvinated the franchise.  With such a large interest in 2D fighters Capcom really should consider releasing SFIII while the interest is there.  Moreover, by releasing these games Capcom can maintain casual support for a few years until the inevitable SFV.  Given that Capcom has a ton of great 2D fighters (Vampire Savior, Capcom vs. SNK, Alpha, etc), it only makes sense.  SFIV went a long way in bringing back the community.  Releasing classic fighters is a great way to keep that interest alive.

In my opinion:

If they release SFIII when Marvel vs Capcom 2 comes out, they'll have 2 of their games competing directly with each other. Plus, why develop two games at once? I'm sure they want to do a good job and focus their attention on one at a time. If they do bring SFIII to Xbox Live and PSN, maybe they will want to give it special treatment like HD Remix and Marvel vs Capcom.

Sure, I agree that Capcom should release many of their classics while the interest in these games are so high, but I don't think it will die down anytime soon. If anything, Marvel vs Capcom 2 will build up on it. So releasing SFIII later this year or next, is not a bad idea to me.

I say wait 8 months to a year till most people get their hands on MvC2 and recover from it's greatness. (:

Yes, but that's a bit too soon. I mean Capcom has bee crapping greatness lately and not many are made of money, so not many will keep up with EVERY game.

Yes, I feel it is too soon to announce it in September. When MvC2 dies down a little bit, maybe December or around there, they could announce a game on Xbox Live or PSN.
