Wait...you all think that rufus is the hardest to use out of the new bunch? You're including c. viper right? I put rufus as one of the "easy mode" characters in the game. Abel is a bit difficult to grasp, fuerte is fun, but he's only easy ot use against someone who's not good yet. Viper is your quickest way to carpel tunnel syndrome. She is by far, the hardest street character to use effectively. I don't mean just getting by, i mean really using effectively. (this is not a bad thing at all, i just wish that all characters had a lot to them.) Using her crouching fp fient combo is not easy, even grasping super jump cancels isn't easy at first. Her timming has to be prefect, and you CANNOT make mistakes with her. I'm really surprised that anyone thinks rufus is hard to use. He's one of the most safe characters ever, meaning, a vast majority of his moves aren't punishable. You may get a jab in, but you can't exactly punish with an ultra or a meaty combo.

In order of difficulty to learn how to use at begginer to medium difficulty:

1. El Fuerte
2. Rufus (learning to use normals effectively and close the distance in bad matchups)
3. C Viper
4. Abel

Difficulty to learn at high to pro level:

1. C Viper
2. El Fuerte (infinite combo)
3. Abel
4. Rufus

Just my opinion of course.

I think its more like

1. Abel

2. Rufus

3. Fuerte

4. CViper

for both (from least to most)

I usually have an easier time dealing with Rufus than El Fuerte.

I cannot stand going up against Fuerte man.  I've only lost to a Fuerte ONCE, but everytime after a Fuerte match, it feels like my heart rate goes up and I'm just straight up ANGRY.  The craziness, antics, noise and confusion.............I just can't deal with the madness.

At beginner/medium level of play, Viper is no more difficult to learn than Ryu/Ken.  cr. HP -> thunder knuckle, something -> thunder knuckle.  HP Thunder knuckle as anti-air, do it again if it connects.  Use ground pound at distance to try to get free damage or build bar.  Even the EX ground pound into flame kick isn't that hard as long as you're not trying to finish it with Ultra.

It's your opinion of course, but I just don't think she's difficult to use if you don't care about using her to her full potential, if you're ignoring her cancels and all that.

Yeah, i think most of us meant to say Rufus is one of the harder new characters to play against, in the right hands of course, but it doesn't take much to get the hang of him. His corner game is sweet.

And that dudes belly us actually a bit annoying lol. I dunno man, I wished there was a tad bit more seriousness Abel and Rufus, even though Rufus is serious in his own mind. El Fuerte story line is by far the worst in any game ever. he should've took his arse to the iron chef or something.

I'm gonna tweak the list a bit. Putting Rufus as easier than Abel.

1. Rufus has an easy moveset but I've found in playing against him he has a lot of moves, if not done properly, set him up for retaliation. I don't really have problems against rufus. I try to out rush him typically and this works for me. Just have to be careful when he gets his ultra or has a few bars on his meter. He can come back quickly. He's quick and has almost as much health as Zangief. Easy to play with if you ask me. Perfect for noob spammers.

Crappy character in my opinion (fat ass). Great moveset.

2. Abel is pretty easy to tackle his moves and combos but to play competitively you have to outsmart your oppenents when it gets serious. I don't see many good Abel's online. I've been playing with him lately b/c i've found his playstyle comparable to Cammy. Mixup/Rushdown.

Awesome character (wrestler with honor). Cool moveset. Mobile Zangief with mixup capabilities

3. Fuerte. Damn him when he gets going. A good Fuerte is tough b/c it's likely one hasn't played much against them. He's really hard to tackle b/c believe it or not a lot of his moves require precision and anticipation. (Damn the infinite combo) it sucks when someone gets it going. Pretty frustrating but difficult to do.

Love/Hate Character. Ha. A Rey Mysterio/Chef Hybrid. I have a buddy who's in culinary school and loves him. Moveset is a moot convo.

4. C. Viper. I love her moveset. And have tried time and again to tackle her moveset in relation to combos. I find her to be a very defensive character however. The rushdown seems to be all show. They're waiting for you to make a mistake. I don't think an average player will tackle her as an alt. She has to be mained b/c of the time it takes to be proficient with her. High cost/reward type player.

Character could've been a bit less chicky. Otherwise alright. Gotta love the red heads! Moveset is my favorite and arguably the most flashy in the game.

As for the post topic it... Rufus has one of my favorite movesets. But his fat character sucks.. BAD! So, I don't use him. Aesthetics are just as important to me as moves. Ha. I'm not too serious with the game to go against my preference in characters... Should've slimmed him up a bit in order for people to take him more serious and increase his popularity... His 'Fat Bas tard" aura is in no way intriguing for a fighting game. Unless you're a lard ass yourself and enjoy beating other characters with Tubby... Then again I think they were going for an anti-Ken character.. (I think they succeeded)

We're NOT discussing who's easiest to use

We're discussing who's easiest/hardest to fight against(of the new characters)
