Or have you noticed as well, that all of a sudden you are seeing more and more people playing SFIV like its track and field vs. a fighting game. It was so bad with one game yesterday that I actually got tired of chasing the guy from one side of the screen to the next and just stood there and let him get his win so I could move on to someone who would actually fight.
It seems, the round starts and they are usually Sagat/Ken from my experience, mostly new Sagats. They then send a barrage of tiger shots, low and hi, and when you FADC or jump in close they try to high kick you. If that doesnt work, then OFF TO THE RACES...
Personally, I have no patiece to chase someone all over the screen, I would rather just let them have it, then to waste time chasing, jumping, running, dashing, trying to hit a jack rabbit..LOL. I'm sure I'm going to here it from some of you, meaning smart comments, or whatever..go ahead and do it!!
dude, i know EXACTLY how you feel. My new strategies involve, landing a few nice combos, then stop chasing them. My stance is this " YOU'RE behind in health, the clock is ticking on YOU. Come take it, come take the fight." I think a huge reason for this type of game play is becuase nearly every mechanic in sf 2.5 encourages turtle tactics. (if everyone had an overhead, i'll bet we'd see zero turtles in top rank.) My heart it totally not into this game anymore.
it's this type of ****cat style that makes this game lame and boring.
I was actually puzzled at what the heck this guy was trying to accomplished. I'm like "this has to be a trick, he...he's not actually just running from one side of the screen to the other...nah he's not just trying to go for time out victories....no way...nobody is that big of a biatch....I...I don't believe it...his strategy is to time out win..................hmmmm...king of fighters 12 comes out in july......"
The Capcom community had a secret meeting and we all agreed that we can`t allow you to give up. We need more viper players
Yes its a legit way to play....... yeah yeah play to win.....blah blah...... not every1 treats everyday like evo 3s grand finals fool.
If you think watching some1 run/turtle is more fun / less boring then watching some1 like poongko rush that ish down, you would probably enjoy knitting over evo after parties
To watch sure it's not as entertaining, but that wasn't the complaint of this thread.
The complaint is that it is boring to play against as well. Which is true.
Its funny though because in a real cage fight does the guy run in, punch the other guy then run away... I dont think so... It doesnt happen in boxing either lol
Unless you're Lyoto Machida or Naseem Hamed.
Why are you comparing SF to real life anyway?
Nice post tho, really.
Nope Lyoto been finishing fights lately but his buddy Anderson Silva well umm well i think he's taking up some of that old Machidaness.
