Turtle = crouch blocking or running whole fight

playing defensively = staying at a distance advantageous for you, throwing out pokes, backing up and then going in for the attack when you get a chance, backing off when you have a health advantage and the opponent is trying to get you to come to them

A good indication is whether the opponent is trying to go for a time-out win or not.  Time-out win = turtle unless time is running out already.

I'd put those guys who run in a whole league of their own. That crap makes me more mad than turtlers. See a lot of Ken and Ryu's with that strategy. It seems to me that both possess a lack skill. And it appears that only low level players only do that. Like G-2 E & D's. Lack of skill. Only way they can win. Obviously, players can mix a little turtling into their game and a little pansy keep away (Akuma!!!) but honestly we shouldn't be complaining for the most part, if you're any good you can beat these guys. Even if it's tough. I'll admit I lose to them as well but it's possible. I seem to do better against G2-C through A than low level guys b/c they play me straight up. Maybe they've figured out something we haven't :-)

I'd relate them to campers in first person shooters. Ha. Yeah, they're bastards and they're gonna die a lot less than the average joe. But hey, as a good player you know where they are and shoot blind rockets and tubes up their ass when you respawn.

Turtlers tend to use the same kinda characters as well:

Sagat

Akuma

Blanka

Dhalsim

Yet, come across a Vyper, Cammy, Gen, El Fuerte, Rufus player and they're very aggresive. Go figure.

There's nothing wrong with turtling. Using fireballs to zone is good playing if the opponent keeps falling for it. When I lose to a turtler it's my fault. If you lose, it's your fault.

Turtling and zoning are two different styles. Now Guile... that's a turtle lol! Although if you come across an offensive Guile, things could get very very ugly

There's a turtle style for just about every character.  And they exist even in G1, sorry folks.  I see as many turtle Bisons nowadays as anything.

Yeah... his outfit is even the turtle colours lol

I used to be offensive with him and turtle. Mixing between these too make Guile so good and difficult for people to adjust to imo.

I think they have slowed Bison down a lot in this game compared to Alpha 3 or CvS2.

I find myself turtling with him even when im trying not to lol and in previous games I would never turtle with him.

Turtle will exist everywhere, im sure they will even be in the S leauge when that starts up... it is a style of pla in this game and you just got to get used to it. (This isnt aimed at you TD just generally at the OP).
